Women's Boot Camp - Portland Location - Casey Ericson

Casey Ericson started Maine Boot Camp in the Portland Area in early 2007. Her philosophy for Maine Boot Camp is simply to provide workouts that blend the creativity and resources of exceptional personal training with the motivation that can only be found when exercising with a fun, committed group of other people pushing to their personal limits. Casey's Science degree in Kinesiology (Science of the Body) and her certification as a personal trainer and chiropractor affords her additional knowledge allowing her to create and modify any number of exercises. She enjoys staying active with her 3 young children and is excited about training for her first triathlons this summer after completing her second marathon in this April. There is nothing Casey likes more than to hear her boot campers say how great they feel about themselves after completing a camp.

Sarah Harris is a NASM certified personal trainer and certified Kettlebell instructor who has been helping people reach their health & fitness potential for more than 5 years. She is psyched to be training with Maine Boot Camp and believes working out in a group environment allows everyone to be motivated and to have fun! Sarah also writes for Examiner.com, providing her readers with fitness and weight loss topics to help them live and maintain a healthy lifestyle. She has played sports since she was young and after falling in love with the sport of rugby in college, she has been playing for 10 years. She also competes in local 5k and 4 mile races in her off season.

Brian Ericson is a Certified Group Exercise Instructor who believes that Maine Boot Camp is one of the best and fastest ways to get fitness results. In addition to instructing boot camp, Brian enjoys the benefits of running and cycling to keep fit and is setting his sites on triathlons for this summer. In addition to his fitness expertise, Brian benefits from a well rounded health care background as a certified emergency nurse. Overall, Brian is very approachable, a lot of fun, and is excellent at motivating people to work hard and improve their lives by reaching their fitness goals.

Joan Lavery-McLaughlin, RD, LD - Registered Dietitian

Joan Lavery-McLaughlin

Joan Lavery-McLaughlin, has been involved in food and nutrition for the past twenty years. Before earning her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nutrition and becoming a Registered Dietitian she worked as a professional chef at restaurants in Key West, San Francisco, and Harrisburg, PA. Her extensive culinary background combines perfectly with her passion for nutrition and healthy living to provide clients with a well balanced approach to healthy eating. Joan specializes in counseling and educating clients in such areas as wellness, holistic nutrition, weight loss, hormonal imbalances, gastrointestinal disorders and lifestyle related illnesses. A key area of interest for Joan is in the role of nutrients in the prevention and treatment of disease. In addition to counseling patients in the private setting, Joan works as an oncology dietitian at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine.
